32& 33 Geotechnical Appraisals and Assessments
KeyGS undertake in excess of 100 Appraisals and Assessments
every year. These include a wide variety of sand &
gravel, chalk, clay, coal and rock extraction sites
within the UK and Ireland. Clients range from small
independent operators to multi-national companies. KeyGS
have been commended by the Health & Safety Executive
for their practical approach and clarity of advice provided
within their reports.
Simple quarry location plans, annotated photographs
and clear tables summarising the hazards identified
and recommendations arising from the assessment are
all used in order to produce easily understood documents.
Competency Training
KeyGS can provide practical geotechnical
training for quarry personnel involved in the inspection,
operation and maintenance of quarry excavations, solid
tips,lagoons and stockpiles. Specific training can be
provided covering such aspects as the inspection of
excavations and tips and carrying out basic appraisals.
